Background
- Whereas the CPS Department began its journey in 2004 as a unique department of MBSTU;
- Whereas, despite more than 20 years passing since its inception, no scholarship system had been established by the alumni for the meritorious but financially disadvantaged students of the department;
- Whereas the students of the 1st Batch of the CPS Department, voluntarily and unconditionally, donated BDT 5,00,000/- (Five Lakh) to establish the CPS Welfare Trust Fund, and the CPS Welfare Trust has accepted it;
- Whereas a unanimous decision has been taken regarding the provision of annual grants by the CPS Alumni Association to the CPS Welfare Trust Fund at a determined rate (changeable from time to time);
- Whereas students of all other batches, including the 1st Batch, have voluntarily expressed firm assurance to provide and continue batch-wise donations to the CPS Welfare Trust Fund;
- Therefore, the 'CPS Welfare Trust' has been formed out of the humanitarian and social responsibility of the alumni to establish a scholarship system for the meritorious but financially disadvantaged students of the CPS Department and to respond to humanitarian appeals.
Name and Address
This trust shall be known as the 'CPS Welfare Trust'.
