Welcome to the Criminology and Police Science Alumni Association (CPSAA), MBSTU.!

It is both an honor and a responsibility to serve a community that represents academic excellence, professional integrity, and community service. Connectivity, Capacity Development, Collective advancement, and Social Responsibility are our foundational pillars.

Strengthening Connectivity
CPS alumni association is more than a directory of graduates—it is a living network. We aim to create a dynamic platform where alumni across batches remain connected, professionally and personally. By fostering meaningful engagement through events, digital platforms, mentoring initiatives, and knowledge-sharing forums, we seek to transform individual achievements into collective strength.

Bridging Generations
One of our core commitments is to bridge generations of criminologists and police science professionals. Senior alumni carry invaluable institutional memory and field experience; younger graduates bring innovation, technological fluency, and fresh perspectives. By integrating these strengths, we ensure continuity, leadership development, and sustained academic excellence.

Supporting Current Students
Our responsibility extends to the students currently enrolled in the department. Through mentorship programs, internship facilitation, career counseling, skill-development workshops, and financial or advisory support when needed, we strive to prepare them for the complexities of modern criminal justice systems and evolving law enforcement landscapes.

Capacity Building and Professional Development
The discipline of criminology and police science is continuously evolving in response to technological advancements, transnational crime, cyber threats, and policy reforms. Opening up job market offering the skills and demand required for the job market is our another commitment. Our Association prioritizes continuous professional development through seminars, specialized training, certification support, and collaborative learning initiatives to ensure our members remain competent and competitive.

Fostering Job Market Access
We recognize that employability is a central concern for graduates. By leveraging alumni networks within law enforcement agencies, governmental institutions, NGOs, international organizations, research bodies, and the private sector, we aim to facilitate internship pathways, job placements, and career progression opportunities.

Research and Academic Collaboration
We are committed to promoting collaborative research, interdisciplinary dialogue, and academic publication initiatives. The Association will actively encourage joint research projects, policy-oriented studies, conference participation, and partnerships with national and international institutions. Through mutual research engagement, we can contribute to evidence-based policymaking and strengthen the academic standing of our discipline.

Ethics, Service, and Social Responsibility
As criminology and police science professionals, we are entrusted with upholding justice, accountability, and human rights. Our Association seeks to nurture ethical leadership and encourage alumni to contribute to social reform, crime prevention strategies, and community-based justice initiatives. Looking ahead, our vision is to institutionalize sustainability within the Association—through transparent governance, strategic planning, and inclusive participation. Every alumnus and alumna is an integral part of this journey. Together, we will not only preserve our legacy but expand it—transforming our shared academic foundation into a powerful professional and intellectual community.

With Warm regards,

“

Greetings from the Criminology and Police Science Alumni Association, MBSTU.

As Secretary of this Association, I view my role as both administrative and strategic—ensuring that our collective vision is translated into structured action, measurable outcomes, and sustainable engagement.

Our primary objective is to institutionalize strong communication and coordination among alumni across all cohorts. An effective alumni association depends on organized documentation, transparent processes, and active participation. We are therefore committed to maintaining an updated alumni database, ensuring regular communication, and facilitating structured programs that keep our members informed and engaged.

A central priority of the Secretariat is bridging alumni with current students. Through structured mentorship initiatives, academic guidance sessions, internship referrals, and career counseling programs, we aim to create a supportive ecosystem that strengthens professional readiness. The transition from academic training to professional practice in criminology and police science requires informed guidance, and our alumni network is uniquely positioned to provide that support.

We also emphasize capacity building and professional development. The Secretariat will coordinate seminars, workshops, research dialogues, and technical training programs addressing emerging issues such as cybercrime, transnational crime, criminal justice reform, forensic advancements, and evidence-based policing. By fostering continuous learning, we ensure that our members remain relevant in a rapidly evolving field.

Another important function is to facilitate research collaboration and academic exchange. We encourage joint publications, conference participation, and partnerships with academic and professional institutions. Strengthening research culture within our alumni community will enhance both professional credibility and institutional reputation.

In addition, we are working to enhance career networking and employment pathways. By systematically connecting alumni in government services, law enforcement agencies, NGOs, research institutions, and the private sector, we aim to create structured opportunities for internships, placements, and professional referrals.

The Secretariat is committed to accountability, inclusivity, and efficiency. Every initiative undertaken will be guided by clear planning, proper documentation, and collective consultation. Our goal is not only to sustain engagement but to build an alumni platform that is responsive, professional, and future-oriented.

I invite all alumni to actively participate, share expertise, and contribute ideas. Together, through coordination and collaboration, we can transform our Association into a model professional network that strengthens both our discipline and our institution.

With sincere regards,
Secretary
